If you intend to place the bedside lamp on a table top or a bedside cabinet, it is worth keeping to the rule that it should not occupy more than 1/3 of its surface. If the base of the lamp turns out to be too big, it is worth considering some other alternative to light the bedroom.
You may also opt for a slightly more original alternative and use pendant lamps as bedroom furniture. However, we loyally warn you that although this is a very decorative solution, it is not entirely practical. Lamps hanging too close to the bed are associated with quite a painful risk of hooking your head on them. If, in turn, we decide to hang them at a slightly greater (and thus safer) distance from the bed, it may turn out that the light will not be intense enough. This in turn can be problematic especially if you like reading in bed.
